2. Information We Collect
- Information required for account creation, login, and identity verification
- Information users enter or submit in the app, such as tasks, projects, posts, profiles, and visibility settings
- Technical information necessary for service delivery and stability, such as device type, OS, app version, language, time zone, crash data, and notification settings
- Product interaction events, including app launches, sessions, screen views, onboarding progress, tab selections, project, task, and timer actions, feature usage, and purchase-funnel actions
- A pseudonymous user ID generated from the Firebase Authentication user ID using SHA-256 and a device ID generated by the product analytics SDK, which is not Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Email contents and attachments sent when contacting support
- If you allow tracking on iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA), a device-level identifier generated by the Meta SDK, standard install, app launch, and session events and their timestamps, app and device environment information, and SDK diagnostic information used to measure installs resulting from Predy ads. See “5. Advertising and Tracking” for details.
We do not send project names, task names, notes, post text, email addresses, raw Firebase user IDs, internal project, task, or transaction IDs, or other free-form content to the product analytics service.
3. Purpose of Use
- To provide Predy's core features, including account, task management, posting, and notification functions
- To investigate issues, improve quality, maintain security, and prevent misuse
- To respond to inquiries, send important notices, and address violations of terms of use
- To analyze onboarding and feature drop-off, feature adoption, funnels, and retention in order to improve the product and plan new features
- To measure whether Predy ads on Instagram and other platforms lead to app installs and to optimize delivery of Predy ads
Product analytics data sent to Firebase Analytics and Amplitude is used solely for product analytics and service improvement. It is not used for advertising, advertising measurement, disclosure to data brokers, or tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies. Advertising measurement data sent to Meta follows the separate purposes and permission conditions described below.
4. External Services
Predy may use Apple, Google, Firebase, Amplitude, Meta, and other contractors or partner services for app distribution, payments, authentication, storage, notifications, crash analysis, cloud operations, product analytics, and measurement of Predy ads. These providers handle information according to their own privacy policies.
Amplitude, Inc. (Product Analytics)
Predy uses Amplitude to analyze onboarding, core feature usage, funnels, feature adoption, and retention. We send product interaction events, a pseudonymous user ID derived from the Firebase user ID, a device ID generated by the Amplitude SDK, and limited app and device environment information to Amplitude.
This information is used solely for product analytics and service improvement. It is not used for advertising, advertising targeting, advertising measurement, or tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies. Information may be stored and processed in the United States region. For details, see the Amplitude Privacy Notice.
Meta Platforms (Measurement of Installs Resulting from Predy Ads)
This advertising measurement through the Meta SDK applies to Predy for iOS version 8.11.0 and later. Earlier iOS versions and the Mac app do not perform this advertising measurement through the Meta SDK.
If you allow tracking through App Tracking Transparency on iOS, Predy sends the advertising identifier, a device-level identifier generated by the SDK, standard install, app launch, and session events and their timestamps, and app and device environment information to Meta through the Facebook SDK. SDK diagnostic information may also be processed. This information is used to measure the effectiveness of Predy ads and optimize their delivery. 5. Advertising and Tracking
We use Meta’s Facebook SDK to measure whether Predy ads on Instagram and other platforms lead to app installs and to optimize delivery of Predy ads. This does not display advertisements within the Predy app.
Only if you allow tracking through App Tracking Transparency (ATT) do we initialize the Meta SDK and send the advertising identifier (IDFA), a device-level identifier generated by the SDK, and standard install, app launch, and session events and their timestamps to Meta. The SDK may include environment information such as the app version, OS, device model, language, time zone, carrier, and screen information. It may also process diagnostic information, such as crashes, to diagnose SDK operation. Meta receives network information, such as your IP address, when communicating with its services. Meta may link this information with information collected through other services for advertising measurement and related purposes.
We do not pass your Predy login ID, name, email address, task or project names, notes or post text, or purchase history from the app to Meta for this measurement. Our configuration disables automatic event logging in both the app and Meta settings, and disables Meta’s Event Suggestions and Automatic Advanced Matching. Product analytics data sent to Amplitude is not used for advertising or advertising tracking.
If you do not allow ATT, we do not initialize the Meta SDK or send advertising measurement events through it. Your choice does not change Predy’s features or pricing. You can change permission under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Predy. Once the app recognizes that you have revoked permission, it stops recording new events and initiating explicit transmissions to Meta. This does not guarantee immediate cancellation of SDK network activity already in progress or automatically delete information already sent.
Regardless of ATT permission, Apple’s SKAdNetwork may notify advertising networks of install results without relying on your individual advertising identifier.
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Through our use of external service providers, user information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed by providers located outside Japan. Product interaction events, pseudonymous user IDs, and device IDs sent to Amplitude may be stored and processed in the United States region.
Advertising measurement and diagnostic information sent to Meta may also be stored or processed outside Japan.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not provide user information to third parties except where required by law, where the user has given consent, or where disclosure is necessary to the extent required for outsourced operations.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. When a user deletes their Predy account, we submit a deletion request to Amplitude for the associated pseudonymous user ID. Completion may take time because the request is processed according to Amplitude's deletion schedule. After account deletion, the Amplitude user ID and device ID stored on the device are reset.
The handling and retention of advertising measurement information sent to Meta follow Meta’s policies and related terms. Deleting your Predy account or revoking ATT permission does not by itself mean that information previously sent to Meta has been deleted. For questions about access or deletion, please contact the address provided in this policy.
9. Access, Correction, and Deletion
If you would like to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of your information, please contact go0428_0601@icloud.com with the information necessary to verify your identity. We will respond within the scope required by law and operational necessity.
10. Revisions
This policy may be revised in response to legal changes or updates to the service. If a significant change is made, we will notify users in the app or on this page.
